COLUMBUS — The eagerly anticipated matchup between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Penn State Nittany Lions, both undefeated Big Ten powerhouses, is about to kick off. In addition to the fierce competition on the field, both states' chambers of commerce have placed a friendly wager on the game.

The winning team's chamber of commerce will secure not only the coveted bragging rights but also a collection of gifts graciously provided by the losing team's chamber.

If the No. 3 ranked Buckeyes emerge victorious, Pennsylvania Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein will be sending Ohio Chamber President and CEO Steve Stivers a delightful package. This package will include Yuengling beer, Hershey's chocolate, Utz potato chips, Seltzer's Lebanon bologna, Penn State Creamery ice cream, and the famous Eat N' Park smiley cookies.

On the other hand, if the No. 7 Penn State triumphs over Ohio State, Stivers will reciprocate with an enticing assortment of gifts. Bernstein will receive Anthony-Thomas Buckeye chocolates, Watershed Distillery spirits, Tide laundry detergent, Scott's Miracle-Gro grass seed, Brillo steel wool pads, Kroger grocery brand items, and a Wendy's gift card.

Stivers, a lifelong Ohioan and a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, expressed his anticipation for the game, saying, "As a lifelong Ohioan and a graduate of The Ohio State University, I'm really looking forward to seeing the Buckeyes beat Penn State this weekend. The Pennsylvania Chamber's willingness to participate in this friendly bet despite the odds makes it even more exciting."

The Buckeyes and Nittany Lions will kick off their game at noon at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, promising an exciting showdown between these two Big Ten giants.
