Sun City Cruiser's 12th Annual Classic Car & Motorcycle Show Roars into Apple Valley

The 12th Annual Classic Car & Motorcycle Show by the Sun City Cruisers is revving up for an exciting weekend in Apple Valley. This event, touted as the most extensive and gleaming car show in the High Desert, is set to take place this Saturday, October 14th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Mariposa Lodge, situated near Apple Valley Road, will host this free show.

With nearly 250 participants, the event promises an impressive display of classic cars, hot rods, motorcycles, and a few delightful surprises. Enthusiasts will flock to Apple Valley from car clubs located in Las Vegas and various parts of Southern California, including Orange County and the local mountain communities.

As visitors explore the dazzling array of vehicles, they'll be serenaded by classic oldies, thanks to a live DJ. This isn't just a car show; it's a full-fledged extravaganza. Attendees can savor a diverse selection of food, grab a cold brew in the beer garden, and peruse numerous vendor stalls and exhibit tables. In addition to the visual delights, the car show will offer opportunities to win big with drawings, raffles, and prizes.

For those looking to refuel, there's a tempting $10 lunch deal, featuring a cheeseburger or bratwurst served with chips and a beverage. It's the perfect pit stop to satisfy your cravings while enjoying the automotive spectacle.

Traditionally, mayors from nearby cities like Apple Valley, Barstow, Hesperia, Victorville, and Adelanto have a special role at the event. They select their favorite vehicles and assist in presenting the prestigious Mayor's Choice Awards, adding an extra layer of excitement to the show.

Beyond the excitement of the car show itself, the Sun City Cruisers have a noble tradition of supporting local nonprofits through their fundraising efforts. These efforts include hosting concerts, cookouts, and the annual car show.

This year's proceeds from the event will benefit A Better Way/Victor Valley Domestic Violence, a High Desert-based nonprofit that offers essential services to individuals and families dealing with domestic violence and abuse. Their services encompass emergency shelter, transitional and permanent housing, as well as a range of resources.

A Better Way/Victor Valley Domestic Violence has touched the lives of approximately 31,507 clients in the High Desert, highlighting the vital role played by this nonprofit in the community.

During last year's fundraising activities, the Sun City Cruisers successfully raised $34,000 for the Rock'n Our Disabilities Foundation, showcasing their commitment to making a positive impact on the community.

The Mariposa Lodge, conveniently located at 19311 Jess Ranch Parkway in Apple Valley, offers a beautiful park-like setting for this event, near the Apple Valley Fire Protection District Station 337. It's the ideal backdrop for a day filled with classic cars, motorcycles, entertainment, and, most importantly, giving back to the community.
