Edwin Castro, the recent $2 billion Powerball jackpot winner, continues to display a frugal demeanor despite his newfound wealth. Recently, he was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport, preparing to catch a flight alongside a mystery woman.

As they made their way into the airport, both Castro and the unidentified woman sported backpacks. Notably, Castro was wearing a simple T-shirt from Chomp, a company offering it for just $24.95. The shirt, in black and pink, featured a skeleton design and the words "Dead Sexy" on the back. Castro kept his attire primarily dark, matching his shirt, pants, and backpack, with the exception of his white sneakers. He also unveiled a new hairstyle, sporting braids pulled into a bun, while being accompanied by his security team.

In contrast, the mysterious woman donned a dark two-piece outfit paired with socks and sandals, carrying a pink backpack. Interestingly, neither of them seemed to be traveling with luggage. Despite Castro's enormous winnings, the pair opted for a commercial flight to an undisclosed destination, which suggests they could be headed anywhere in the world.

However, it's worth noting that Castro's life has taken a complicated turn due to an ongoing legal battle. Jose Rivera has alleged that the $2 billion-winning Powerball ticket was stolen. Rivera claims he purchased the winning ticket at Joe's Service Center in Altadena, California, on November 7, 2022, the day before the draw. He accuses Urachi F. Romero, his former landlord, of stealing the ticket after he misplaced it, and alleges that Castro cashed in the prize, which both parties deny.

Castro's attorney, David De Paoli, argued in an Alhambra, California court that his client had not been properly served with the legal papers related to the case. There were previous attempts to serve the papers at both of Castro's residences, including to his father, who shares the same name, but these efforts apparently did not meet legal requirements.

Despite the legal complications, Castro's attorney remains confident that the case will eventually be dismissed. Meanwhile, Edwin Castro has not wasted time in spending his newfound fortune. Over the past 11 months, he has acquired three luxurious properties in California, including a stunning mansion in the Hollywood Hills worth $25 million, a bachelor pad in Altadena for $4 million, and a lavish seven-bedroom estate in Bel Air for $47.5 million.
